Caregiver Invites Her Adult Wards to Serve as Bridesmaids

A caregiver shocked the adults she helps by asking them to be her bridesmaids.

Kayrin Callaghan, 30, immediately knew she wished them to be a part of a big day when her fiancé, Alex Slater-Brown, 25, a hospital care assistant, proposed.

Callaghan, a mom of two, has supported Jamie Kevern, 24, who has Down syndrome, for 2 years.

Callaghan additionally helps Daisy, 18; Francesca, 20; and Chloe, 26 – who even have Down syndrome – and struck up a particular bond with all of them, having fun with days out to the native swimming pool and the flicks.

She requested the 4 of them to be her “flowermaids” by having them to open containers filled with balloons.

All 4 have been ecstatic and are already planning a marriage bathe for the bride-to-be.

Callaghan, a private assistant from Cornwall, England, mentioned: “They have been so completely satisfied once I requested them to be my bridesmaids – there have been a lot of tears.

“They’re so particular to me, I wished to offer them the possibility to stroll down the aisle.

“We’ll have a Disney-inspired Halloween wedding ceremony, so that they’ll get to put on princess clothes.

Callaghan bonded with the adults she cared for as quickly as she met them.

“I am like their huge sister,” Callaghan mentioned.

“They’ll come to me about their boyfriend or friendship troubles.

When Callaghan’s fiancĂ©, Alex, proposed to her in April 2022, she knew instantly who she wished as her bridesmaids.

She mentioned: “I needed to plan a great way to ask them – so I made a decision to get some balloons which had the phrases ‘Will you be my flowermaids?’ on.

“They opened the containers, and Francesca, who’s the perfect at studying, learn what it mentioned aloud to everybody.

“Their response was wonderful, and we had a lot of tears.

“Then they began twerking – which they like to do.”

Callaghan plans to get married in October 2023 and needs a Nightmare Earlier than Christmas Disney-inspired wedding ceremony.

“There is not going to be a coloration scheme as Jamie all the time likes to put on rainbow colours,” she mentioned.

“They’ll all put on what they need and costume up in Disney princess clothes.
