SpaceX found a legal workaround to block the DOJ’s discrimination lawsuit

The Elon Musk-owned SpaceX gained a courtroom order stopping the Division of Justice’s hiring discrimination lawsuit from shifting ahead, as reported earlier by Reuters. In a call on Wednesday, US District Decide Rolando Olvera dominated that the DOJ’s administrative judges don’t have the authority to overview the case.

The DOJ sued SpaceX in August over allegations that the corporate refused to rent asylum seekers and refugees. The company, which has been investigating SpaceX’s hiring practices since 2020, accused SpaceX of discouraging refugees and asylum seekers from making use of “by wrongly stating that SpaceX can solely rent U.S. residents and lawful everlasting residents.”

SpaceX countersued the DOJ in response, alleging that the executive regulation judges (ALJs) on the case have been “unconstitutionally appointed” as a result of they possess authority that solely these appointed by the president ought to have.
